Recently, the "China Fun" special correspondent Wang Jianbo joined the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the Chi Sin Chinese school in Malaysia.

Chi Sin Chinese school is located in Batu Kikir, Muar, Johor, Malaysia. It was established by local Chinese community leaders Yen Chuk and Soo Eng Koo as a private school in 1935. In 1938, with the joint efforts of the local Chinese community, the private school was expanded to become the Chi Sin School, with its first principal being the Chinese leader Wong Swee Ting.

During World War II, Malaysia was invaded by the Japanese, and the school was forced to cease operation until 1946 when it was reopened. In the following decades, with the support of all sectors of the community, Kai Sun School has flourished and nurtured generations of Chinese pillars. At present, the school has 143 students and 16 staff members.

Since the Chinese animation hit ‘Nezha 2’ is about to premiere in Malaysia in March, the Team of "China Fun" decided to integrate the story of Ne Zha into the celebration event. With beautiful illustrations, the team introduced the story and cultural background of Ne Zha to the students.

There can be no real cultural exchange without the exchange of cuisine. The "China Fun" team brought the famous Chinese dessert: the Jinhua flaky pastry to the school and enjoyed it with the teachers and the students. The team also presented posters of Chinese cultural heritage and offered the Twelve Zodiacs building blocks to the students as a gift. The event ends with laughter and newly built friendship.
